Located in the oldest part of the city it has the Roman Baths, Thermae Spa (due to open shortly), Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge, Sally Lunns, Bath Rugby Club, Parade Gardens, the main shopping centre and great restaurants all on its doorstep. Guided tours exploring the rest of Bath, including the Royal Crescent, Circus and Assembly Rooms leave from outside the hotel every 10 minutes.

Bath Spa train and coach stations are close by and with local public parking located by the Police Station it is the ideal place to explore all that Bath has to offer.

Built as part of the Grand Design in the 1740s the hotel has the modern convenience you would expect. The Hotel is a member of the Best Western marketing association and has been awarded 3 stars and 72% by the AA. Best Western Hotels are independently owned and operated.

Each of the 60 bedrooms has been recently refurbished. Being a privately owned property, we feel this has been done with a little more care and attention to detail than one might find elsewhere - we have tried to create a homely feeling by use of colours and décor. 12 singles, 10 twins, 3 triples, 33 doubles, 2 family rooms.

Bath is noted as a very cosmopolitan city and its multitude of restaurants reflect this. The majority of these restaurants are within easy walking distance of the hotel and we will be happy to assist you with a reservation.

In the hotel itself, we offer a light supper menu, served daily in the restaurant between 7:00pm and 9:00pm. Breakfast is served daily in the restaurant.

Situated in central Bath, the hotel was originally built as a wealthy merchant’s house in the 1740’s. The Hotel re-opened in 1990 following a full refurbishment, which included returning the front of the hotel to its original splendour.
